Deep Creek Lake weekend

We went to Deep Creek Lake over the long Labor Day weekend. Thank you to Mary for renting the house and making it possible for us to go! :) It is a beautiful town, in Western Maryland. The house we stayed in had an amazing view (thanks again Mary!), even if the driveway was scary to drive up. They aren't kidding when they said up the "hill". We didn't get to do much, since the kids are still so small and are kind of limited in what they can do. Garth and I did manage to take them to a State Park to see the (dried up) waterfall and walk through the woods (the jungle, according to Sean). I wish we had more time there, so we could have had more time to explore and try out the activities. We would definitely go back again. Maybe the next time without the kids or with a nanny to help out. ;-)

We had a surprise (early) birthday party for Mary on Saturday. I think she was surprised and pleased. With her new presents, she is going to get ready for the next phase in her life. Gail and Todd got her cooking classes, Garth and I got her a pedicure/manicure and Clay and Mary are getting her hair done. She's a granny with style. :) Happy early birthday, Mary/Ma/Granny!

The children are doing great. Lili is really starting to talk. She has her 4 molars, her four top middle teeth and her two bottom middle teeth. She is working on the other 2 middle ones. Sean is all boy, bumps and bruises. We are currently working on potty training...sigh...boys are STUBBORN! On a good note, since Lili wants to do everything Sean does, we have started potty training her too. :)

I hope you all are well and enjoy the pictures! The kids sure are growing up fast.
