Mom and Dad have been traveling the country (and Canada), as "retired" people should do the past several weeks and made a pit-stop in Baltimore to see us, on their way down to Southern Georgia for a training Dad is teaching. It was really nice to be able to see them every day. The kids absolutely loved having all 4 grandparents around for a few days. As I am sure you already know, they were spoiled and doted on even more than usual.
On Friday night, I took Sean "camping" in Northern Maryland, where mom and dad were staying. (On a side note: Long gone are the days of sleeping in leaking tents on air mattresses that have run out of air halfway through the night. Mom & Dad have a nice trailer with a fully equipped kitchen, shower, toilet, couch, chairs, queen sized bed (in their own bedroom) AND a flat screen TV with cable) Anywho...Sean had his first taste of "camping" and roasting marshmallows for S'mores. He had a great time using the flashlight to find more sticks for Pipa to put on the fire. Actually, he was more interested in the flashlight than the fire or S'mores...go figure.
On Saturday we went home to pick up Garth and Lili and go to the pumpkin patch, where we got homemade donuts (MMMMMMMMM), picked out pumpkins, got lost in a maze, went on a hayride and down a giant slide on a potato sack. Fun!
Sunday, mom, dad and I took Sean and Lili to the zoo. We did a lot of things we have never done there before. We pet and brushed the goats, pet a horse, fed a giraffe...it was a lot of fun.
